This course is designed to give students deeper knowledge and a clearer understanding of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.  It also covers a detailed history of the Bhagats and Gurus.

·       SGGS reading - uses an interactive method to encourage students to read in a group and to thereby improve by listening.

·       UNDERSTANDING GURBANI - this is done by first describing the word, then moving on to the line-by-line approach and then understanding the entire shabad's conceptual meaning. The study also includes an introduction to historical facts in relation to Gurbani.

·      SIKH HISTORY - this emphasises the learning of Sikh history including major milestones that helped shape the course of the Sikh religion.

The course is conducted over 8 semesters = 48 months = 128 weeks = 256 hrs

Currently, over 250 students are going through this course at the Academy's headquarters in Wisma Tatt Khalsa, Kuala Lumpur.  The age group of the students range from as young as 5 years to 70-years old.  Here you will see families coming together every Sunday to attend classes, thus bringing a new addition to the famous phrase - "A family that prays and in this case learns Gurbani together stays together".

All these courses provide a way for Sikhs to understand their religion, know their heritage and most importantly, connect with Guruji, the Creator.

The syllabus is entirely prepared by Malaysians based on accepted references within Sikh communities across the world.
